This soda-fired creamer is carved with two Horses and is hand-thrown with a high-fire stoneware. Two Horses are hand-drawn into opposite sides and highlighted with colored slips.

This creamer is fired in a wood-fueled soda kiln. The combination of the flame, ash and soda produces flashing and a glaze of soda in unexpected ways. The glazes used are food safe and durable. Although hand-washing is recommended for handmade pottery, this creamer can be washed in a dishwasher. I have microwaved all my pottery but always exercise caution when microwaving any pottery.

Makes a great gift for the horse lover. Suitable for cream, syrup and other pourable liquids. My marks are stamped on the bottom.
