This hand-stamped mug is hand-thrown with a high-fire stoneware. Unique hand-carved stamps and other markings are stamped around the surface of the mug and highlighted with black slip. This globe-shaped mug is fired in a wood-fueled soda kiln. The combination of the flame, ash and soda produces flashing and a glaze of soda in unexpected ways. The glazes used are food safe and durable. Although hand-washing is recommended for handmade pottery, this mug can be washed in a dishwasher. I have microwaved all my pottery but always exercise caution when microwaving any pottery.

Makes a great gift for the coffee and tea lover. The round shape with a narrower opening helps keep beverages warm! Suitable for coffee, tea and other hot drinks. My marks are stamped on the mug.
